Argento Lounge in Preston launches LoungeAid 2026 and urges locals to get involved to
support local charities
Monday 1st June marks the start of LoungeAid 2026, and the team at Argento Lounge are
gearing up for a month of fundraising, community spirit and feel‑good fun — and they’re calling
on local residents to get involved.
LoungeAid is Loungers’ annual, month‑long charity initiative, bringing together all 271 Lounges,
37 Cosy Clubs and four Brightside venues across the UK. Each site chooses causes that matter
to its team and community, then spends June turning their venue into a fundraising hub.
This year, the team at Argento Lounge have chosen to support Lancashire LGBT, a cause close to
their hearts. Throughout June they’ll be hosting a packed programme of events and fundraising
activities, including weekly quiz nights on a Wednesday, a sponsored walk from Argento Lounge
to Trevino lounge in lytham and then making their way to Vintro lounge in Blackpool! There’s
also going to be Drag Bingo hosted by the fabulous Moxie.
Across the country, Loungers teams are planning more than 1,000 individual fundraising events,
supporting hundreds of local charities. Last year, LoungeAid raised an impressive £285,000 —
and this year the nationwide target is a whopping £300,000.
Heather McNulty, General Manager at Argento Lounge
‘I’m an 80’s kid; so growing up in a small town, there really wasn’t any access to LGBT support
for people. That’s why being able to support Lancashire LGBT, with the team at Argento Lounge,
is so vitally important.
We pride ourselves on community, friendship, and inclusivity, and are supporting Lancashire
LGBT this LoungeAid, and Pride Month, so that they can continue to provide much needed
support across the area. We’ve got a whole month of great fundraising events planned, so
please pop in or follow our socials to support us’
Lounges have always been rooted in their communities — from hosting local groups and events,
offering random acts of kindness, and raising money for causes that matter to their teams.
LoungeAid is a continuation of this – a grassroots fundraising model where each Lounge chooses
the causes that matter in their neighbourhood and rallies their community to make a difference.
Nick Collins, CEO, Loungers, says: “LoungeAid is a real highlight in our community calendar. We
can’t wait to kick off this year’s on Monday 1st June and see the crazy, creative and brilliantthings our teams come up with to raise much‑needed funds for local charities — all while
bringing their communities together.”
Established in 2015, LoungeAid is Loungers’ biggest annual charity initiative, uniting teams
across the UK in a month of fundraising to create real, local impact. Since its launch, the
campaign has raised almost £650,000 for charities nationwide.
