With no Evoque (was Lava, was Tokyo Jo’s) to visit, people will be heading to a new venue
The latest Tokyo Jo’s Reunion is set to take place at a different city centre spot for the first time.
A 1,850 capacity crowd danced the night away and enjoyed two hugely successful Tokyo Jo’s reunion events in the original Fishergate venue back in 2019. This time, a special Jubilee Reunion will see old skool club classics and chart and party dance anthems from 1990 to 2006 played at Baluga Bar and Club.
Organiser Brian Hudson said: “We plan to entertain the people of Preston again, but in a different venue with a line-up of some of the original and best Tokyo Jo’s DJs, including Mark Freejack, Baz Todd and Andy Dee of Smart Fit Gym, to give you a new opportunity to reminisce about all the fun and frolics from back in the day.
“There will be photographers in the venue for us to capture people with big smiles and those goosebump, hands in the air moments. We’ve also teamed up with Hopwood’s Tap House, just across the road, as our official pre-indie bar experience.”
The Tokyo Jo’s Jubilee Reunion will take place at Baluga Bar and Club on Thursday 2 June from 7pm to 3am. Tickets are £12 plus booking fee and available from Skiddle.
