Traffic was held on the M6 to deal with the crash
Traffic has been held and delays remain after two cars crashed on the M6 near Preston.
Motorists on the northbound carriageway were held by police near junction 32 at 1.30pm, with traffic stationary for around 20 minutes.
The police roadblock has since been lifted, with one lane still closed while recovery takes place.
Visuals from the scene show a number of police vehicles as well as a car parked next to the central reservation, with long queues in the distance.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix says: “One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident, two cars involved on M6 Northbound after J32 M55 ( Broughton Interchange). Congestion to J31A (Longridge).
“Lane three (of three) remains closed after traffic was held between 13:30 and 13:50.”
