Lancashire County Council hiring Covid-19 caseworkers and contact tracers

Lancashire County Council are hiring a number of people to work as Covid-19 caseworkers and contact tracers.


These positions come following the announcement that Lancashire would start to take control of more test and trace systems under the new tier-three restrictions.

LCC have received a support package, understood to be worth £42m, which will go towards funding the new roles.

The new roles will be mostly home-based, but some face to face meetings may be required.

Candidates will be expected to provide guidance and support on Covid-19 guidelines to complex settings which will include schools, high-risk workplaces and care sector and residential services.

The role will include activities such as contact tracing, tracing complex positive cases and their contacts and providing advice on self-isolation practice.

Proficient use of MS Word and Excel and databases is essential, and candidates will ideally have experience in a customer-facing role and will have excellent communication skills.

The job will be full time until March 2022 and applications close at midnight on November 1 2020 – applications can be made on the county council website.
