Police are advising motorists to avoid Shore Road in Hesketh Bank
A drink driver walked away uninjured after flipping a car and bringing down live power cables in an early morning crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Shore Road in Hesketh Bank earlier today (July 8). Lancs Road Police shared a picture on Twitter of the vehicle on its roof after landing on a hedge row at the side of the road.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area until the incident is dealt with and a section of Shore Road has been reduced to one lane. Police said the driver tested positive for alcohol and is ‘being dealt with by officers’.
Lancs Road Police tweeted: “Vehicle on its roof on Shore Road in Hesketh Bank, avoid the area if possible owing to electricity cables in the road. Driver uninjured and walked away, being dealt with by officers having provided a positive sample in relation to drink driving.”
