NWAA Cross Bay Walk

15 July @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

£10 – £45

Can you walk the walk for our lifesaving crew?

Our walk will begin in the picturesque village of Arnside, and you’ll be led across the famous bay by the King’s guide to sands, Michael Wilson. Our walk will take us approx. 6 miles through the River Kent to reach our final destination of Grange-over-Sands.

This magnificent walk is nestled between the coast of Lancashire and the Cumbrian hills. Time and tide wait for no man thanks to the moon’s gravity which drags away the water every 12hrs and 25minutes to reveal beneath it, the hidden sandy bay. Due to ever changing landscape and treacherous quick sand, there’s no turning back once the walk has begun and can only be undertaken as part of an organised walk with the King’s Guide, Michael Wilson. These are just a few reason that makes this walk so exhilarating and unique in equal measure.

We guarantee that it’ll be an experience you won’t want to forget!

It is only by doing events such as this one that our crew can bring the hospital to the patient. We provide enhanced pre-hospital care to the most critically ill and injured, and transport patients to the most appropriate hospital to achieve the best outcome for them. We receive NO government funding and are not part of the NHS. Each year we must raise over £12 million and by crossing the bay with NWAA you’ll be helping to keep us operational.

It’s only thanks to the generosity of people like you, supporting our events that we can continue flying to save lives.
