The owner of Tulketh Tap Room Ray Woods told Blog Preston: “If you read the Ashton pact group on Facebook you will loads of people defending me.

“That was a lot worst before I opened the bar. There [was] loads of rubbish and dog mess everywhere.

“I also lock my back door so [people] can’t go out there. Any that happens near my bar I get the blame. Getting used to it now.

“There were people using drugs behind the bar for years before I opened.”

Preston City Council have told Blog Preston that they are aware of the complaint have raised it with the landlord.

Councillor David Borrow, Cabinet Member for Planning and Regulation at Preston City Council, said: “We are all pleased that bars, cafes and restaurants have reopened in the city allowing residents to enjoy their favourite places with friends and family after being closed for so long.

“However, it is important that we enjoy these places responsibly and remember to respect one another and our city. We have been made aware of reports of public urination near this establishment and have raised it with the landlord.”
